Death of Werner Wager

Article ID:

Werner Wager, who was Senior General Manager Printing at the South African Naspers media group before his retirement in 2004, has died. He was a highly respected expert in his chosen field and for many years carried out press acceptance tests in accordance with the WAN-IFRA Guidelines at newspaper printing plants throughout South Africa.

He also sat on the WAN-IFRA Technical Commitee "Production" and was a member of the working group tasked with revising the internationally recognised press acceptance test. The news of his death from cancer, already some time ago, reached us only now. WAN-IFRA will honour his memory.
