An English-language newspaper for Munich

Article ID:

15367

The 5th July 2012 saw the publication of the first issue of what is presumably the first English-language regional weekly newspaper in Germany: The Munich Times. As the publishing house of the same name announced on its website, the demand was so great that the newspaper (initial print run 10,000 copies produced in the compact format) was rapidly sold out.

The target audience for The Munich Times, which is being sold through magazine outlets for 1.50 euro, consists of the English-speaking inhabitants and visitors to Munich. William Smyth is chief editor and publisher.
