The JETLEADER 1500 digital ink jet press which ran at drupa 2012 will be installed in Chicago. At the show, the name of the printer was not disclosed. Now TKS (USA) informed that Newsweb Corporation and TKS signed a letter of intent for the press.

At drupa the press printed the Wall Street Journal USA daily edition as well as other products.

“We have been looking at digital ink jet technology for years, but did not feel it was where we wanted it to be” according to Rodd Winscott, President of Newsweb’s printing division. “After Drupa we knew this was the machine to take our printing to a new level and create new business opportunities. TKS has a superb reputation for offset presses and we know this will carry over to its JETLEADER product line”.


The JETLEADER 1500 is anticipated to be operational this October in Newsweb’s Chicago plant.
