Kodak: Chapter 11 process takes its course, newspaper business not affected

Eastman Kodak Company outlined its next steps toward a successful emergence from Chapter 11 reorganization as a company primarily focused on commercial, packaging and functional printing solutions and enterprise services. Accordingly, the company has initiated sale processes for its market-leading Personalized Imaging and Document Imaging businesses.

In relation to Kodak's activities in the newspaper sector, according to a statement issued by the company's PR service, also after the implementation of the measures announced in the press release they "will remain an integral part of the Kodak portfolio for the graphics industry." The statement continues: "The business with plates, CTP and workflow systems, digital presses and ink-jet imprint systems for hybrid print production in the newspaper sector will become even more important as a result of the company's planned increased focus on the printing and packaging industry."
