Closure of manroland plant in Plauen

Article ID:

16014

More than one year after press manufacturer manroland filed for insolvency, the company's former plant in Plauen in the State of Saxony, Germany, has closed down. This was announced in mid-December 2012 by insolvency manager Werner Schneider, whose negotiations with an investor were unsuccessful.

The reasons given for the closure were the low level of utilisation of the plant's capacities as well as the overall poor economic state of the printing industry. The 250 employees in Plauen will be taken over by an interim employment company.
