Diario del Cauca is a 24-page tabloid format newspaper that was launched on January 17 for the region of Cauca in Colombia, just one month after the closure of the newspaper El Liberal on December 15, 2012, that was published in that region for 74 years.

The publishing group of the new newspaper is Grupo Editorial El Periódico, the owner of 22 daily newspapers in Colombia.
