WAN-IFRA Italia brings together the Italian professionals within a one and half day conference focused on the hottest topics of the newspaper industry. Under the common title "Successful Ideas to Defeat the Crisis" the three working sessions of the 2013 conference will focus on the printed media, the multimedia newsroom and the distribution of newspapers. Participants will have the chance to know and to debate some of the most successfully experiences made by newspaper printers and publishers in Italy and in other countries.
The "industrial session" of WAN-IFRA Italia 2013, scheduled for the afternoon of 26 June in Bergamo, will focus on the integration of offset and digital web printing. Under the headline "digital and offset: will the printed media be the future of information?", the session will explore successful experiences as well as new projects on building the printed media in the XXI Century, with a strong focus on the integration of offset and digital printing technologies.
• After an introduction we will propose a panel of printers – from Italy and other countries – to present and to discuss successful experiences and new and innovative projects. We will ask supporting organisations to suggest successful stories to our audience.
• After the panel we are planning an expert round table on "digital printing technology: the state of the art", coordinated by Manfred Werfel, WAN-IFRA.
The conference will be hosted by the Congress Centre Giovanni XXIII in Bergamo – not far from Milano. Conference sessions will be translated into Italian and English.
In addition to the working sessions WAN-IFRA Italia 2013 will offer the traditional "evening event" to all participants. This year we will explore the “Franciacorta”, a top quality wine production area. A visit to a wine distillery, an informal dinner and a final visit to the CSQ printing plant in Erbusco (Bs) will complete the agenda of the evening event of 26 June 2013.
The event is promoted by ASIG (Italian Association of Newspaper Printers), by FIEG (Italian Federation of Newspaper Publishers) and WAN-IFRA.
