80% of Canadians read newspaper content in either print or digital format. 78% of the website readers read printed newspapers while 57% still read only printed editions. These are some of the results of the latest results of a survey executed by the measurement company NADbank which recently released its mid-year readership data.

The NADbank Mid-Year 2012/13 readership data report.

“Canadians continue to connect with newspaper content either in the printed format, on their desktop, or on their mobile devices (smartphone or tablet). The newspapers are evolving their digital products, offering enhanced content delivery through paid subscription, or, in the case of Montreal la Presse, creating a new, interactive mobile experience, for free. The printed edition is still the preferred method of consumption with approximately 80% of newspaper readers on a daily basis, and 85-90% of total weekly readership,” NADbank found out.
