International Newspaper Color Quality Club 2014-2016, Tutorial

Participants in the competition for membership in the International Newspaper Color Quality Club 2014-2016 maximise their chance of success by familiarising themselves in advance with the subject matter. An opportunity to do so was offered – as every year – by a preparatory WAN-IFRA Tutorial that, besides information about the contents and procedure of the competition, also communicated many practical tips.

WAN-IFRA 's Beatrix Beckmann explains the functions of the measuring instrument.

The Tutorial took place on 19 November in Darmstadt under the guidance of Beatrix Beckmann, who is responsible for the Color Quality Club Competition and who answered all the detailed questions of the participants. One major aspect was, naturally, what has changed since the previous years' competitions (see article).

A greta deal of interest was expressed also in the topic of measuring techniques and evaluation in conjunction with the practical demonstration of the new X-Rite eXact measuring instrument that will be used to evaluate the printed samples entered for the Color Quality Club Competition.

The new printing quality competition starts in January 2014 with first test prints. For more informtion on the competition, the free WAN-IFRA Quality Self-Check, the Star Club, etc., visit  the website: http://www.colorqualityclub.org/
