New newspaper in Italy

A few weeks ago (11 February) the new newspaper Pagina99 was launched in Italy. It is published in a weekday edition, from Tuesday to Friday, and a weekend edition on Saturdays.

Started as a pure mobile edition, the newspaper is now also available in print.

The initial mobile offer has been extended with a website and a printed edition. Like the established newspaper titles Il Sole 24 Ore and Financial Times, Pagina99 also is printed on salmon newsprint identifying itself as financial-economy paper, a "daily newspaper for economy and culture“ as its subtitle says. It appears with a page count of 16 during the week and an impressive 56-64 pages on weekends. The content is not breaking news, but rather more analysis and opinion pieces.
