This category honors actions that have long benefitted both youth and the news operation, and continue to do so.

These include:

 The Learning Network by the New York Times of the USA has provided online guidance and news access for teachers and students since 1998

 The Guardian (UK) Education Centre has provided students with a multiplatform news (and cartooning!) experience since 2002.

 The Readalong programme of The Philippine Daily Inquirer persuaded celebrities to help make reading fun for children since 2007 and with The Tampa Bay Tribune (USA) Reading with Rays doing a similar programme involving professional athletes since 2008.

 A School Without Violence campaign by Polskapresse of Poland and supported by the Orange Foundation.

 The Schulpreis awards by Westdeutsche Zeitung of Germany which encourage student community projects.

 Journalist for A Day by Pioneiro of Brazil that gives thousands of youth an unforgettable experience in making the news.

 The Zikita news in education programme for kindergarten students by Schleswig-Holsteinischer Zeitungsverlag of Germany.  (See a video about the project HERE.
