Four months after beginning bankruptcy proceedings, EAE found a buyer to ensure its continuance: Q.I. Press Controls, specializing in closed-loop press controls, purchased the business and assets of EAE, effective 1 April.

Q.I. Press Controls (www.qipc.com) says it will continue EAE’s core business at the firm’s Ahrensburg (near Hamburg) and Atlanta (USA) locations.

“The acquisition of EAE underlines our commitment to the printing industry”, says Erik van Holten, Chairman of Q.I. Press Controls. “Innovation has always been key to our success. With the acquisition of EAE, Q.I. Press Controls is able to meet the requirements of the printing industry in an even more comprehensive way. Through the expansion of our product portfolio we have become an even more interesting business partner to our customers.”

“With the successful sale we have reached our goal of securing the continuation of our core business“, said the insolvency administrator, attorney Peter-Alexander Borchardt. Nearly all employees who are currently working for EAE, will continue to work for the company, according to a common press release published by Q.I. Press Controls and EAE.

The Netherlands-based Q.I. Press Controls is an international company with eight locations worldwide, specializing in systems to automate the printing process. The two companies were competing in the area of closed-loop colour control for newspaper presses.
