Anyone who wants to read this new French newspaper needs to discover it by unfolding the product in three steps up to the big A1 page size - a challenge and chance for the page design. This one huge sheet is all the reader gets.
"Less is more," this is the motto of the paper that, according to the editor, can be read from beginning to end in less than an hour. The newspaper does not focus on news reporting but selects one news topic every week, which it presents in many facets and with different opinions in the form of essays. Instead of informing him, Le 1 wants to inspire the reader to think about a topic more deeply.
The weekly newspaper started on 9 April. The cover price is 2.80 euros and the print run is 30,000 copies.
