Brazilian newspaper provides visitors to the Olympic Games 2016 with their daily information

August 18, 2016 – The Brazilian publishing and printing giant O Globo is providing visitors to the Olympic Games in Rio with news at the moment. “O Globo Olympic” is what they call the daily special edition, which is distributed in the busy Olympic Park, among other locations.

Quick as lightning, elegant and boasting a large fan club: This may be a description of an Olympic Athlete but it is also valid for the daily special edition of O Globo, Rio de Janeiro. The Brazilian newspaper is a leader in the International Newspaper Color Quality Club 2016-2018 (INCQC), particularly in the discipline of “Print Quality”. O Globo is one of a variety of newspapers produced on manroland web systems presses, which have made the jump to membership of the exclusive Club of the WAN-IFRA. O Globo has been printing on a GEOMAN press since 1998, which remains today one of the longest newspaper printing configurations in the world. The printing system avails of regular updates that are realized by the manroland web systems service professionals.

The world association of newspapers and news media WAN-IFRA admits newspaper and publishing houses into the International Newspaper Color Quality Club, based on a print quality competition. The best newspapers impress with optimized workflows, motivated employees, a successful external appearance and demanding advertising customers. In 2016 85 newspaper titles printed by 64 publishers and printers from 26 countries were accepted into the INCQC.
