SCMP Group, the publisher of Hong Kong's English language newspaper of reference, the South China Morning Post, has entered into an agreement to acquire a majority stake in My- Dress Holdings Ltd, operator of MyDress.com, a fashion e-commerce market leader in Hong Kong. Upon completion of the transaction, the SCMP Group will own the majority of My- Dress Holdings through a wholly-owned subsidiary.

New report examines business models for newspapers and printers
Nine years ago, WAN-IFRA brought out a Special Report on the separation of publishing and printing. It was based on the growing trend among publishers to identify their core competence and to separate print production from the publishing business. It aimed to identify the distinctive features of the then-current best performing printing strategies and also help newspaper publishers in developing effective business strategies that were best suited to their specifi c needs and markets.
