manroland web systems at the World Publishing Expo (WPE) 2016 in Vienna

September 29, 2016 – manroland web systems awaits you at the WPE 2016 in Vienna from 10th-12th October 2016, stand C550. The web offset printing market leader will of course have its customised solutions, business models and strategies for modern newspaper production, whether it be offset or digital, at hand. manroland web systems will present different business models, which have been newly developed together with customers as well as the most modern and efficient newspaper printing machines of the year 2016.

manroland web systems retrofits and upgrades make every machine ready for the future – even competitor presses.

One look at the international trends in the printing industry will show that all market segments are confronted with the same challenges: decreasing circulation figures, increased versioning, more individualised contents and strong regionalisation and personalisation of the products. These demands call for more flexibility in the production process but also for the product itself, concerning the format, paper quality, pagination, special advertising and target group specific editions and features.

The trust our customers place in us has made us the leading partner and overall solutions provider for the entire printing industry, the combination of technologies and the development of extraordinary workflow solutions. The company will present all of this at the WPE 2016 in Vienna. Alexander Wassermann, Managing Director at manroland web systems, is looking forward to this year’s World Publishing Expo. He expects exciting professional conversations and inspiring discussions in Vienna: “Many of our customers were also trading in the past years and defined the future of newspaper printing together with us. Most of the challenges printing houses face today are similar: How can I optimally adapt the production technology to smaller run lengths and regionalisation? What conditions do I need to keep exclusively printing newspapers profitable? The solutions which print houses opt for are diverse: New offset and digital printing investments as well as retrofitting existing presses.” This is what Wassermann wants to talk about at the WPE

Taking the lead with new business models
The focus will primarily be on the same key topics which were also presented at this year’s drupa: What is the optimal future business model? Exclusively printing newspapers or offering digital printing services or even hybrid products? Do new investments increase efficiency and profit for printing companies? Or do the presses require a general upgrade or innovative retrofits? At WPE 2016 in Vienna visitors will learn all there is to know about the individual, extensive and customer based press and service portfolio – concerning newspaper printing, newly developed digital printing and the automation and workflow sector.

All manroland web systems innovations in the systems business and consulting service sector directly aim at reducing costs, increasing productivity and gaining production flexibility. The focus lies especially on digital newspaper production with extensive fully integrated workflow solutions with Imposer, MasterQ and WorkflowBridge, the new effective e:line series as well as individual concepts and consultation concerning retrofits or new investments. Retrofit solutions can now also be realised on competitor presses.
