Facing a decision to upgrade its antiquated editorial software and hardware and with a desire to integrate Adobe InDesign into its newsroom, the management team at Bee Newspapers felt that Scoop7 from SCS was the right choice.
“It was an easy decision for us to switch to SCS and Scoop7. We use their layout software, Layout 8000™, and knew we would be in good hands with great customer support,” according to Mike Measer, Bee Newspapers’ Vice President. He continues, “The integration and customization of Scoop7 into our workflow has been a great experience with the developers and staff at SCS. They have listened to our needs and have been able to adapt to them to provide us a seamless transition.”
Phil Curtolo, Director of Sales at SCS adds “It’s one thing to have good, reliable software. It’s another to back up with services from what our customers consider to be the best team in the industry.” Measer agrees, adding “The training that was provided and continues to be available has been top notch and allowed our staff to gradually grasp the fundamentals of Scoop7 while continuing to be able to produce weekly newspapers without skipping a beat.”
In addition, there are now five Scoop7 installations in Scandinavia, sold and supported by SCS’s European collaborator, Juha Siintola of Mediabox OY in Finland.
