Newspaper Design Clinic

This training guides the participants through the latest developments in the field of newspaper design. It also focuses on the latest trend: the transition from a newspaper into a daily magazine. The participants will learn how to use the design basics, as well as those graphic trends in the daily work of creating an appealing newspaper.

One of the main topics of this event is the use of visuals in newspapers – learning how to use photographs effectively as well as the secrets of good photo-cropping. Another one is how infographics attract the reader and can be used in today newspapers.

In the practical part of this workshop, the participants’ works will be analyzed and design solutions for the different sections will be discussed. The participants will then work on those ideas and create design prototypes with the help of the trainer.
