The XVI edition of WAN-IFRA Italia, the international conference for the Italian newspaper printing and publishing industry, will take place in Bergamo and Erbusco (Bs) on June 26th and 27th. The event is organised by ASIG (Italian Association of Newspaper Printers), FIEG (Italian Federation of Newspaper Publishers) and WAN-IFRA.

WAN-IFRA Italia brings together the Italian newspaper professionals within a one and half day Conference focused on the hottest topics for the industry. Under the subtitle "Successful Ideas to Defeat the Crisis" the three sessions of the 2013 Conference will be focused on the printed media, the multimedia newsroom and newspapers distribution. The participants will have the chance to get to know and to debate some of the most successful experiences made by newspaper printers and publishers in Italy and in other countries.

In the past two years - 2011 in Florence and 2012 in Turin - WAN-IFRA Italia was attended by 250 professionals.

The "industrial session" of WAN-IFRA Italia 2013, scheduled for the afternoon of June 26 in Bergamo, will be focused on the integration between offset and digital web presses.

Under the headline "Digital and Offset: Will the printed media be the future of information?" the session will explore successful experiences, as well as new projects, about the development of the printed media in the XXI Century, with a strong focus on the integration between offset and digital printing technologies.

The "editorial session" will be devoted, once again, to the multimedia newsroom. Under the headline "Multimedia newsroom: organizative models that work" the session will bring to the audience some of the recent successes and challenges in the newspaper business. A panel will also focus on innovative ideas to develop better services to the daily editorial.

The "management session" will focus on the distribution of printed media, one of the hottest topic in Italy and abroad.

The Conference will be hosted by the Congress Center Giovanni XXIII in Bergamo - not far from Milano. All the Conference will be translated into Italian and English.

Besides the conference sessions, WAN-IFRA Italia 2013 will also offer all participants the traditional evening event. This year we will visit the Franciacorta, a top quality wine production area. A visit to a winery, followed by an informal dinner and a visit to the CSQ printing plant in Erbusco (Bs) will complement the programme for the evening event of June 26th.
