Marcelo Rech is the newly appointed Director of Journalism for Brazil's RBS Group. Based in Porto Alegre, southern Brazil, the group owns 18 TV stations, two community TV stations, one rural channel, 25 radio stations, eight newspapers and four internet portals. Rech has a long history with the RBS Group and Zero Hora newspaper. He is a previous general director of the Newspaper division and a former managing editor of Zero Hora. He's Vice-President of the World Editors Forum and President of WAN-IFRA's Latin American Committee.
