Urs Gossweiler
Urs Gossweiler is a founder of Gossweiler AG. He developed the philosophy of media integration, which enables information from one source to be distributed to any available channel. The resulting paradigm shift helped break down the barrier between print media and audiovisual media. In 1993, Mr. Gossweiler took over as Chief Executive and Chairman of the Board of Directors. 2000 saw the launch of the Jungfrau Zeitung, signaling a geographic and journalistic expansion by the publishing company. The local newspaper covers current affairs in politics, business, culture, society and sport in the Jungfrau Microcosm. In 2003, the micro newspaper concept based on the structure of exclusive and local multimedia platforms was introduced. From 2006, the Jungfrau Zeitung became the first Swiss newspaper to integrate Web TV reports in its online edition. In April 2010, the ONZ Obwalden and Nidwalden Zeitung was founded in the central Swiss cantons of Obwalden and Nidwalden. This micro newspaper is modelled on the Jungfrau Zeitung. Gossweiler Media as licensor provides the expertise required to run a micro newspaper and is responsible for national marketing campaigns and promotion, market studies, public relations, exclusive partner network, representing interests in the industry as well as emergency IT support.
