Tablet and App Strategies Growing Up at World Publishing Expo

2012-09-24

Almost three years after the launch of the iPad, the latest mobile apps are starting to live up to their promise as publishing platforms for news media. The World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) is offering a rapid, one-stop opportunity for publishers and editors to hear about the latest in business strategy and product development to benefit their businesses.

WAN-IFRA’s 5th Tablet & App Summit, to be held on 30 October in the midst of the World Publishing Expo (IFRA Expo & Conferences) in Frankfurt, Germany, will present mobile and tablet news publishing success stories from a wide variety of newspaper and other media companies.

At the Expo itself, mobile platform workflows and creative technologies will be on full display, alongside the more traditional publishing platforms that have long been the core of the Expo, the world’s largest global trade exhibition for the news publishing and media industry. More than 250 exhibitors from 30 countries will fill 9,000 square metre of exhibition space; around 8,000 visitors are expected to attend during the three-day event, from 29 to 31 October next.
