Newsroom Summit: How to Prevent Entrenched Culture from Blocking Change

2014-09-16

Lisa MacLeod, Head of Operations for ft.com, Marco Bardazzi, Digital Editor of La Stampa, and Alison Gow, Editor for Digital Innovation at Trinity Mirror Regionals, have joined the programme for the upcoming International Newsroom Summit, to talk about how editors can transform the culture of their newsrooms as the digital revolution becomes embedded.

Though many editors recognise the need for their teams to be fast and agile to counter increasing competition from digital and social media, corners of their newsrooms often remain stubbornly resistant to change.

The 13th International Newsroom Summit, organised by the World Editors Forum on 13 and 14 October in Amsterdam during the World Publishing Expo, will present the best examples of how editors are meeting this challenge and syncing their newsrooms to the digital world.

Ms MacLeod, Mr Bardazzi and Ms Gow will join Managing Editor of the Belgium’s innovative daily Le Soir, Didier Hamann, to share their experiences at managing newsroom evolution in a session titled “how to prevent your newsroom culture blocking change.”
