Partnership between WAN-IFRA, Local Media Association and DDM Delivers World Class Training
Want to truly transform your local media company? Consider attending the Deseret Digital "BootCamp" in Hamburg, Germany, this fall. The event will take place during the World Publishing Expo on October 7 and 8.
The two-day event takes a deep dive into the highly successful content and business models developed by Deseret Digital, a leading media and online services company based in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States. Its array of online news sites, consumer services, social media channels and other digital projects has a global reach of more than 22 million monthly unique visitors, and nearly 100 million followers through social media channels.
The BootCamp will cover a wide range of topics including: native advertising, e-commerce, culture, separation of print and digital for both news and sales, events, social media, programmatic, video and more. The sessions are refreshingly open and transparent; DDM executives will point out success stories but also strategies that didn't work out.
Many DDM executives will be on hand to take part in this event, including President Chris Lee.
Reviews from participants have been outstanding. “Hands down, the most valuable training I have attended in a decade," said Samantha Johnston, General Manager, Swift Communications, "Inspiring. Relevant. Practical. Engaging. Thought Provoking. Transparent.”
"Deseret Digital is one of the most successful case studies in our industry," said Nancy Lane, President, Local Media Association, "They are truly transforming their media company. This BootCamp has been a game changer for the dozens of media companies that have already participated. We are thrilled to partner with WAN-IFRA to bring this event to Hamburg in conjunction with the World Publishing Expo. This is a priceless opportunity to share DDM's success stories with a global audience."
Larry Kilman, Secretary General of WAN-IFRA, said: “We are excited about this new partnership opportunity with DDM and the Local Media Association. It highlights the increasing international range of our exhibition and the value it holds in the news media industry."
Registration is now open. Details and information can be found at: https://www.localmedia.org/training/deseret-digital-media-boot-camp/

Full details of the Expo and all associated events -- which will include a Newsroom Summit (5 October), a Mobile News Summit (6 October) and the World Printers Forum (7 October), can be found at www.worldpublishingexpo.com.
The BootCamp requires attendance of 40 or more so early registration is appreciated. Once the 40 mark is reached, attendees will be notified and they can then book their airfare. An optional tour of the World Publishing Expo will take place on October 6 for BootCamp participants. The tour will focus on the hottest digital tools available on both the sales and content side. Early bird deadline ends on August 15 (price increases $300 USD after that date).
