Nip Control launches a new static sensor blade for the Roller Nip Indicator instrument

09.06.11 - This sensor blade (SS30002/03) will become the new standard in for example the graphic industry, in conjunction with present semi-dynamic sensor blade.

Advantages over present static sensor blade (SS30001) include:
·         Better at very thin ink stripes such as 1.5 - 2.5mm
·         A measurement value closer to the old ink stripe. Popular with pressmen
·         Can withstand higher pressure (important for non-offset applications)
·         Better if rollers/cylinders are clamped together, such as between form rollers and plate or in converting applications

The new sensor blade has been tested with very positive results by close to 200 end-users.

The old sensor blade (SS30001) will still be available for present customers who so desire, but will also be more directed towards special applications with either very low activation force, or non-offset nips with rubber hardness between 60 and 80° Shore A.
