Deputy Managing Editor of EL PAÍS, she is responsible for the International Desk and the integration of the Internet and print editions in this area. Before this, she was in charge of Life&arts and Social Areas (Education, Health, Science, Gender Equity, Environment) (2007-20011). Before this she was in charge of EL PAIS on Sunday (2005-2006) and -in different positions- the foreign desk (2000-2005). Her precedent work was linked to foreign news. She covered the peace process in Belfast, Tony Blair's period in the United Kingdom, the first Gulf War and the fall of the Soviet Empire in the Eastern European countries and Russia. She was correspondent in Moscow for El periódico de Catalunya (1992-1993) and for EL SOL (1990-1992). Nowadays, she also intervenes in the weekend magazine "A vivir que son dos días", on the Spanish main radio network, Cadena Ser. She has a degree in Journalism from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1988).
