On 31 August 2011, the Berlin daily newspaper B.Z. launched a new prize game in which the ink-jet process was used to print an individual "cash code", i.e. a seven-digit number and character combination, on all front pages. A random generator was used to determine which codes produced a money prize of between EUR 20-100 and the results were published in the next day's newspaper. Upon presentation of the corresponding newspaper pages, the winners were then able to collect their prize on the same day.
