2015-05-07 12:04May 6th, 2015 – With the press towers clearing the overhead by no more than an inch, the first Magnum Compact press system in the United States has been installed snugly and initial tests on its six 2 x 1 units completed. 2015-05-04 10:11Oosterhout, 30 April 2015 – It seems that the collaboration between Q.I. Press Controls and EAE is paying dividends. In the space of just over a year following the acquisition of EAE - a period in which the two organisations have continued to develop groundbreaking automation products - the print industry has become increasingly aware that the two companies are operating as a single entity. Joint orders are starting to pour in and Denmark too, is making acquaintance with the QIPC – EAE combination. Having been won over by the commitment shown by both organisations, the Trykkeriet Nordvestsjaelland printing plant has singled out QIPC – EAE for the upgrade of its presses. Read more ...

The newspaper industry is under pressure globally. While in the West, decline of the newspaper has been rapid, in the East, newspapers will probably survive for longer. However, there are several pressures on the newspaper industry in the East as well – competition from digital readership, increasing input costs, reducing advertising spends, and so on. In such a scenario, it is important for newspaper industry players to collaborate to improve internal operational efficiencies across the industry. Through such an effort the overall industry will stand to benefit. With this objective in mind, an industry-wide benchmarking exercise was carried out to identify specific improvement opportunities across players. The result has been extremely encouraging. This report details out the methodology and findings of this benchmarking exercise.
