    20.12.2016 – Every week up to 250 000 daily newspapers are distributed from HerencoPress AB’s printing plant in Jönköping. In order to streamline and improve the pallet loading process, Herenco have decided to upgrade palletizing through installing a new SCP – Schur Compact Palletizer. With functions such as bundle centering and identification of bundle orientation, it will allow the optimization of the palletizer process in the future and it will keep possible disturbances to a minimum.     20.12.2016 – The QIPC – EAE Americas success story in the newspaper retrofit business continues unbroken. The company has just been chosen by The Kansas City Star in Kansas City, Missouri, to modernise the hardware and software of its EAE press systems as part of a major investment. The Star – which currently belongs to The McClatchy Company, the leading newspaper and Internet publisher – owns 4 KBA Commander web presses, which went into operation in 2006. The presses are arranged in two identical lines and comprise a total of 36 towers and 40 reelstands, as well as 2 single and 2 double folders. Even so, the role of the world's leading supplier of newspaper press lines for the upper and highest performance classes remains undisputed, and the modern portfolio presented by the manufacturer of the first ever rotary newspaper press is evidence that KBA has no intention of surrendering this position. The last 12 months have seen orders received from Mittelrhein Verlag in Koblenz for a further Commander CT 6/2, from Mitteldeutsche Zeitung in Halle and Druck- und Pressehaus Naumann in Gelnhausen for two Commander CL presses, and from CPI on the island of La Réunion for a waterless KBA Cortina.
