WAN-IFRA South Asia
WAN-IFRA South Asia, headquartered in Chennai, started its operation in 2001 as a private limited company registered under the Indian Companies Act. But the origin of IFRA in India dates back to 1992 when the services of IFRA, with only an Annual Conference, were offered in this country through a representative office. From this modest beginning, it today stands as a separate company catering to the needs of news publishing industry in the Indian sub continent.
Currently there are about 40 members - both publishers and suppliers. Most of the leading publications in India are our members, the list includes ABP, Amar Ujala, Ananda Vikatan, Business Standard, Daily Ajit, Dainik Bhaskar, Dainik Jagran, Deccan Herald, Dinamalar, Eenadu, Indian Express, India Today, Lokmat, Malayala Manorama, Manipal Media, Mathrubhumi, Namaste Telangana, New Indian Express, Sakshi, The Daily Thanthi, The Hindu, The Hindustan Times, The Times of India, The Tribune, Sangbad Pratidin, Sanmarg and Sakal.
