    June 26, 2018 – manroland web systems has been occupied with analysing and testing the benefits of alternative production methods, for quite some time. Results show that there is no getting around the topic of additive manufacturing processes. The Fused Filament Fabrication process (FFF) for plastic parts has been around since about 1990. In the meantime there are industrially mature approaches, which aim to exploit this process for metal parts also.     Berlin, 14. Juni 2018 – Den Daten des Statistischen Bundesamtes zufolge sind die Preise für die in Deutschland hergestellten grafischen Papiere und Pappen seit Oktober 2017 stark gestiegen. Seit Jahresbeginn 2018 verzeichnen sie Zuwächse von über 5 %. Auch die Herstellerpreise für Zeitungsdruckpapier nehmen zu – im April 2018 um 6,3 % gegenüber dem Vorjahresmonat. Gleichzeitig wachsen die Importpreise für Papier: nach jüngsten Zahlen vom März 2018 beim Zeitungsdruckpapier um 10,6 % und bei anderen grafischen Papieren um 6,3 %. Zusammen mit ähnlich groß ausfallenden Preisanpassungen des Papiergroßhandels ergeben sich damit Preissteigerungen in Höhe von 15 %. Read more ...

    The Materials Management Database project was launched as a spinoff of the Newsprint and Newsink Guide. Among other informaton you find the specification of the WAN-IFRA Bar Code for paper reels in this online database. Most of the entries in the database originate from the members of the Material Management Committee; some come from outside sources (as marked), after review and approval by the committee. This database is continually being updated and expanded. New entries will be marked with a label in red type.
