2017-08-30 16:07Oosterhout, 30 August 2017 – Over the last year, India-based printing concern D B Corp Ltd. (Dainik Bhaskar), having dailies in 3 languages, has placed no fewer than five different orders with Q.I. Press Controls - Engineering Automation Electronics (QIPC-EAE). Various printing presses in Aurangabad, Bhopal (two orders), Noida and Shivdaspura have been fitted out with systems from QIPC-EAE, the Dutch specialist in measurement and control equipment. “We’re delighted with the technical support from QIPC-EAE,” was the resounding verdict. “And we’re already looking forward to intensifying our partnership in the future.” Read more ...

2017-08-28 11:45Oosterhout, 25 August 2017 – Berlin is host once again to the annual IFRA World Publishing Expo (WPE), which takes place in the German capital from 10 to 12 October this year. The trade fair is the number one show for companies wishing to showcase their written and printed media products and services, both online and offline. Needless to say, Q.I. Press Controls - Engineering Automation Electronics (QIPC-EAE) will have its own stand at the show. Amongst other things, the Dutch specialist in measurement and control systems for the printing industry will be demonstrating EAE’s Desk 7, with integrated controls for QIPC’s IDS-3D system. The newspaper industry is under pressure globally. While in the West, decline of the newspaper has been rapid, in the East, newspapers will probably survive for longer. However, there are several pressures on the newspaper industry in the East as well – competition from digital readership, increasing input costs, reducing advertising spends, and so on. In such a scenario, it is important for newspaper industry players to collaborate to improve internal operational efficiencies across the industry. Through such an effort the overall industry will stand to benefit. With this objective in mind, an industry-wide benchmarking exercise was carried out to identify specific improvement opportunities across players. The result has been extremely encouraging. This report details out the methodology and findings of this benchmarking exercise.
